HISTORY

The year was 1974. And having worked in the fashion business for a number of years, Allan Marmot decided it was time to give Australia something new.

Instead of trying to be all things to all people, Allan wanted to offer stylish, high quality shirts exclusively to those who appreciated the best. So, with that in mind, Allan founded Ganton and set out to make his dream a reality.

For over 30 years now, Ganton shirts have been manufactured in Australia. And even with today's necessity to manufacture in Hong Kong and Thailand, we continue to make many of our shirts here in Australia. In fact, we're still based in Sydney and proudly family owned.

Twice a year we travel the world looking for the latest ideas and developments. We look for what experience tells us you will like. Or sometimes we just look for what we like ourselves.

But whether it's an eye for the right style, or our insistence on attending to the smallest details, it's a way of doing things that our customers seem to agree with.

From small beginnings, we now supply to over 200 retailers across Australia and New Zealand. And Ganton shirts are worn by many of Australia's business leaders and politicians.
